The Long Island Doula Association was founded as a result of doulas searching for additional education for professional growth. We are a multifaceted organization providing support for women in the early stages of motherhood, from conception through postpartum. We gather to support one another in the work that we do. We have monthly meetings and several educational speakers each year.
The Long Island Doula Association, Inc. welcomes anyone as a member who is working in the childbirth field. Doulas on Long Island are also passionate in looking for ways to enlighten the community about the benefits of having a doula before, during or after their birth.
